PÎYÊSÎW WÂSKÂHIKAN is located on the first floor of the Stanley A. Milner Library. It was created with Nehiyaw design principles and was named by Elders Jo-Ann and Jerry Saddleback after the Chief Thunderbird in the Nehiyaw Creation Story.
This is EPL’s first dedicated Indigenous space and is intended for Indigenous-led ceremonies and cultural gatherings.
This room is outfitted with a dedicated HVAC system that enables smudging.
Alcohol is not permitted.
Capacity is 40 sitting in a circle or 24 seated on furniture and cushions. There are no large tables in this space.

There is no technology available in the space, other than wifi and PA system.
